Agra Metro Project:
Finally, soon Agra will also enter to list of cities have a new generation rapid transit network. The discussions about Agra Metro is started at 2014 by preparing a DPR and submitted in front of Uttar Pradesh Government. But it takes another five years to get final approval and starting of construction. The Final DPR is prepared by a special team of Rail India Technical and Economic Service (RITES) and it’s approved by Yogi Adityanath Government at the beginning of 2019. Then, it takes another nearly two years for starting of construction. The civil construction of Agra Metro is progressing in a good manner from 2020 December to till now.
About UPMRC – Owner of Agra Metro:
Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) is a joint venture of State and Central Government. UP Government converted Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) to UPMRC for implementation of metro rail for all major cities of Uttar Pradesh. There have many more metro projects across UP are progressing successfully under supervision of UPMRC. Agra Metro Rail Project (AMRP) are second huge project of UPMRC after Lucknow and Kanpur Metro’s.

Agra Metro is proposed with two lines at phase one. As like other metros, Agra Metro have color coded lines with a total length 29.65 km. The basic details of Agra Metro Lines are following.

The Agra Metro fare chart is not released yet. We are expecting Agra Metro fare chart before some days beginning it’s commercial operation.
