Bhopal Metro Project:
Bhopal Metro or Bhoj Metro is an under-construction project under supervision of Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (MPMRC). The project is proposed to construct metro rail for 104.87 km inside metropolitan region. Currently first phase is under construction and MPMRC planning to start construction of next phases soon. As like other metro networks, system of Bhoj Metro passing through underground, on ground and elevated pillars.
The discussions of implementing a metro in Bhopal is started on 2013. But, the construction of this dream project was started on 2019. Asian Development Bank (ADB) are providing fund as a loan to implement Bhoj Metro. MPMRC targeting to open first phase of Bhoj Metro by the end 2024. The construction Bhopal Metro is progressing faster and we are expecting that MPMRC can open metro for public soon.
